| Interest | Seek to understand the mechanisms of photoreceptor cell death and survival in mammalian retina and to elucidate the role of other types of cell such as, Müller cells or RPE, on photoreceptor survival. Particularly interested in the survival factors/small molecules that are involved in neuroprotection or rescue. Also interested in understanding how these signaling regulate neuronal survival and inhibit apoptosis. |
